| NETWORK RAIL Whilst Network Rail does not provide train services, it provides thei infrastructure enabling the train operaing companies to run their services. At Plumpton Network Rail is responsible for the maintance and upkeep of the crossing (signal) box [plus crossings that pass over the railway track, eg Riddens, Chilington crossings], the crossing gates and floodlights, the racecourse, footbridge (furthest away from the station ticket office).
